Doberman Conformation Show
The DPC is proud to present our first Breed Restricted Conformation Show! Please make sure to read our General Event Rules before submitting entries. Good luck!
Rules & Info
Judge: Imögen Flod, head of the Doberman Pinscher Breed Club.
Reserve Judge: Robyn Honey-Pallet
Club Registries: SIKC.
Breeds: Doberman Pinscher
Image Size: 800 x 600 px. Incorrect sizes will be disqualified!
Arena: Arena may be indoors or outdoors.
Handlers Clothing: Handlers must wear professional attire, both pants and skirts are allowed.
Dog Clothing: Dogs must wear a thin, neutral-colored show leash for this competition.
Size: Large Dogs
Entries: 3 Pictures required, one of the dog stacked, one headshot of the dog, and one of the dog showing its gait.
Extras: Non-standard dogs may enter only if they are intact (No partial-albinos!). Expect them to receive point deductions for faults.
Start Date: 02 June, 2018
Last Date for Entries: 20 June, 2018 @ 11.59 PT
Result Reveal: No later than 24 June.
Any edits made to entries without consulting Imögen will result in disqualification.
All entries will be posted here as well as the DPC thread on the SIKC forums once results are released.
About & Expectations
Conformation gives handlers a chance to showcase their dogs. Dogs are not being judged against each other, but rather judged against how closely they fall in line with their Breed Standard. Their structure, temperament, and movement will be assessed to see which dog most closely exhibit their breed.
The crowd is murmuring as you and your dog wait for the judge to approach. In the company of Doberman of all the different lines and sporting all the various coat colours. Readjusting the lead once more as you see the judge making their way over to you..
