Templates

The DPC is happy to provide templates created by community members to help you get started with your very own foundation dogs!

All dogs listed here are up to the DPC's breed standards and should give you a solid base to start working with.

To use a templates download and unpack the .zip file. Place all the files found inside into your tray folder, the template will then appear in your Gallery. As all of the templates have ottermoonsims nipples/dog junk you'll need to check the option to show objects with CC.

What is the difference in the lines?

Show line breeders focus on producing dogs that do well in shows and become good family companions. While working line breeders are focused on preserving the working qualities and physical strength of the breed.

American Line

Since the Doberman came to the USA about fifty years go, American breeders have bred primarily for the conformation standards we see today at dogs shows. Much of the sharper, working aptitude originally found in the breed has been lost in that process.

European Line

European breeders breed to a standard that puts working temperament first (in fact a dog must pass a temperament test aka ZTP before the dog may legally be bred) but also embraces a physical standard.

S. American Line

South American Dobermans originated with American stock and are large dogs with heavy bone and muscle with a very high drive.
